بهذه المقالة سأتكلم عن قطعتين من الفضة ونرى ماا حدث لهم خلال وقت استخدامي لهم
القطعة الاولى :
الخاتم الفضي كان هدية من أختي الكبيرة كان براق ورائع ارتديته لمدة 11 شهراً انا اغسل يدي كثيرا و اغسل الصحون و أستعمل منظفات الكثير منها بمرور الوقت بدأ لونه يتغير و بدأت الكرستالات الصغيرة تسقط مع انها جداً صغيرة الى ان أصبح المعدن لين جدا و اخيراً انكسر وكانت نهاية قصة الحب بيني وبين هذا الخاتم
In this article, I will talk about two pieces of silver and see what happened to them during the time I used them
:First piece
The silver ring was a gift from my older sister. It was bright and wonderful. I wore it for 11 months. I wash my hands a lot, wash the dishes, and use a lot of detergent. Over time, its color began to change and the small crystals began to fall, even though they were very small, until the metal became very soft and finally broke, and that was the end of the love story between me and this ring.
القطعة الثانية :
سلسلة كانت ايضاً هدية ولقد صمدت السلسة أكثر من الخاتم أنقطعت مرتين لأنني كنت العب بها صلحتها مرتين لكن بالمرة الثالثة تخليت عنها وايضاً لونها أصبح قبيحاً بالرغم من وجود الاختام الا ان القطه تأكسدت بشكل مخيف
:The second piece
A chain was also a gift, and the chain lasted longer than the ring. It broke twice because I was playing with it. I fixed it twice, but the third time I abandoned it. Also, its color became ugly, despite the presence of the seals. However, the cat was oxidized horribly
لماذا حدث هذا؟ (تحليل تحت العدسة) : بصفتي مهتمة بتفاصيل الأشياء الدقيقة، لم أكتفِ بالحزن على قطعي المفضلة، بل وضعتها تحت عدسة الماكرو لأفهم السبب. اكتشفت أن:
عدو الفضة الأول: المنظفات القوية والرطوبة المستمرة سرّعت من عملية "الكبرتة"، وهي التي حولت بريق الفضة إلى ذلك اللون القبيح والمؤكسد.
لين المعدن: سقوط الكريستالات ولين المعدن المفاجئ يشير إلى أن السبيكة ربما لم تكن "فضة إسترليني 925" نقية تماماً، أو أن التصميم لم يكن مهيئاً للاستخدام اليومي الشاق.
الإجهاد المتكرر: انقطاع السلسلة مرتين وتصليحها جعل نقاط اللحام ضعيفة جداً، مما أدى للنهاية الحتمية في المرة الثالثة.
ما الذي أبحث عنه الآن؟ هذه التجربة جعلتني أدرك أننا كمستهلكين نستحق قطعاً لا تكتفي بكونها "جميلة" في الواجهة فقط، بل نريد قطعاً تصمد أمام "اختبار الحياة" اليومي؛ أمام الماء، المنظفات، وحتى عبثنا الطفولي بها والاهم نحتاج قطع جميلة و أنيقة للأستخدام اليومي يدوم بريقها وتكون نقية توازي نقاء قلوبنا
Why did this happen? (Analysis under the lens): As someone interested in the details of minute things, I not only mourned my favorite pieces, but also put them under the macro lens to understand why. I discovered that
Silver's first enemy: Strong detergents and constant humidity accelerate the "vulcanization" process, which turns the luster of silver into that ugly and oxidized color
Softening of the Metal: Falling crystals and sudden softening of the metal indicates that the alloy may not have been completely pure 925 Sterling Silver, or that the design was not prepared for heavy daily use
Repeated stress: The chain being broken twice and repaired made the welding points very weak, leading to the inevitable end the third time
What am I looking for now? This experience made me realize that we, as consumers, deserve pieces that are not just “pretty” on the surface, but rather we want pieces that stand up to the daily “test of life.” In front of water, detergents, and even our childish tampering with them, most importantly, we need beautiful and elegant pieces for daily use that last in their luster and are as pure as the purity of our hearts
